James MacGregor has extensive experience in Legal Services, including Digital Forensics, eDiscovery, and Document Review. For the past 15 years, he has worked in global leadership roles at some of the largest eDiscovery professional services firms in the world, overseeing projects across the US, UK, and European markets.
While serving as the Managing Director for Consilio’s London office, James played a key role in overseeing the integration of multiple acquired businesses, giving him valuable hands-on experience with M&A operations. In 2024, he brokered his first independent company merger.
James has focused on adapting international approaches to eDiscovery to address the nuances of the UK market and the specific disclosure requirements under the courts of England and Wales. James brings his deep industry knowledge and growing M&A experience to Arbor Ridge Partners, helping European clients navigate the complexities of transactions in the legal technology and services sector.
James was the founder of the first international Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists (ACEDS) Chapter and is currently serving as Co-Chair of the International Legal Technology Association’s Litigation Special Interest Group.
James holds a BA in Politics and Social Policy from the University of Leeds.
